Valeria A. Moore, 86, departed Saturday February 6, 2010 in Overlook Hospital in Summit. Born in Jackson, Miss., she lived in Fanwood since 1976. She received a Bachelors of Science degree in nursing from Dillard University in New Orleans in 1948. Prior to moving to NJ, she worked for Dr. Theodore Lawless in Chicago. Mrs. Moore was a member of First United Methodist Church in Scotch Plains and was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She was predeceased by her husband George W. Moore, Esq. in 2005 and her daughter Sandra L. Moore-Price in 1999. Surviving are a daughter Sharon Moore, Esq.; two grandchildren Shannon M. and Thaddeus L.
