Thomas Gerard DeVingo, 78 of Belleville passed away Friday November 20, 2009. Born in Newark to the late Nicholas and Fortuna (Amorosi), he has lived in Belleville for many years. Mr. DeVingo was employed by the Newark Housing Authority as a glazer for 25 years, retiring in 1982. Mr. DeVingo is survived by his wife Agnes (nee DiLella), son Thomas and his wife Tabatha, son Gregory and his wife Corinda, sister Mildred Meo, grandchildren Patrick Complitano, Gregory DeVingo, Deanna and JoElla Pronel, Christina, Olivia, and Thomas Devingo Jr., great grandchildren Dominic and Brooke Complitano. He was predeceased by his grandchildren Corinda and Thomas Stephen, brothers Vincent "JB", Patsy, Sam, and Anthony, sisters Josephine Lafauci, Helen Rosamilia, Anna Bassano, Rose Caruso, Mary Sperduto, and Olga DeVingo. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
