I'll never forget the first time I went to the Asmers home, being a only child from a single family household I was amazed and in awe. I was always welcome there and for years the asmer home was my second home. When Ms. A came to my bridal shower and every one was to give the bride to be a ppiece of advise, I'll never forget what she said " Wendy never go to bed angry and you'll never have to wake up that way!
Brothers and Christie ILOve you and my thoughts are with you.

Mrs. Asmer was a neighbor of mine for many years. She was a very sweet lady. I remember one weekend we invited Anthony, Peter, Johnny and Chistie to spend the weekend at my Mom's lake house out off Sumter Hwy. Mrs. Asmer went down to the old Winn Dixie in Five Points and before we left for the lake she came by with a car load of lunch items-lunch meats, cheeses, mayo, mustard, pickles, cookies, crackers and lots of soda for us to all enjoy while at the lake. I have never forgotten her kindness after all these years.
I recently met Chase while working at Richland County Voter Registration where I am now employed and remembered when he and his dad Freddie were at a Capital City Ball Game and he was a young boy. He was cute then and reminded me of Anthony-my favorite of all the boys! Seeing him now he has turned out to be a very polite, kind, thoughful and handsome young man!
My prayers and thoughts are with all of the Asmer family at this time.
God Bless,
Patricia(Patti) Roberson Lewis

Dear Asmer Family, I was saddened to learn of the loss of your mother. Emma was a pillar of strength, courage and inspiration in our community. A very beautiful, generous lady who welcomed everyone entering her home as family.
Everywhere Emma was there was surely a good time to be had by all. Some local families only rival the Asmer family parties at which she was the center. Always, always a good time!!!
God blessed her life with all of you to carry on her legacy.
God bless you all, you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely, Cathy Tronco

Dear Freddy, Charles and Family,
I'm sorry to hear about your Mom. I have fond memories of her, especially at Columbia Country Club. She and my Mom were friends and they both should be commended for promoting golf in the Midlands. I remember, with joy, the good times I had with Charles, Albert, and Freddy who was my football coach when I first came to Cardinal Newman in 1968. I hope all are well and look forward to seeing you. Tony
