Betty M. Pruser, 84, of Greendell, died Sunday, November 8, 2009, at home. Born in Portland, Oregon, Mrs. Pruser lived in Andover Township, then moved to Pompano Beach, Florida, and Boone, North Carolina, before moving to Greendell thirteen years ago. She worked in Admitting at Newton Memorial Hospital for 23 years before her retirement in 1990. The daughter of the late Fred and Iva Douglas Seibel, Mrs. Pruser was also predeceased by her husband, Herman H. Pruser, III, on May 14, 1996; a son, Herman H. Pruser, IV, on April 9, 1954; and a daughter, Gena Pruser, on October 19, 1988. She is survived by one daughter, with whom she lived, Toni Henry and her husband, Skip, of Greendell; one son, Michael Pruser and his wife, Patricia, of Stillwater; and four grandchildren, Colleen Henry, Erin Henry, Michael Pruser, Jr., and Stephen Pruser. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High Street, Newton. Interment will follow at Newton Cemetery.
