Sherling Barba Chaix, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2009 at 7:58 a.m., age 69. Beloved mother of Leo T. Murphy, III, “Dreama” and Sherling M. Brignac, “Chris”. Daughter of the late Elizabeth Sherling and Melvin S. Chaix. Sister of Melvin S. Chaix, Jr., Lorraine C. Sander and the late Mary Lou Chaix. Grandmother of Dee Dee, Ivan, Crystal, Sherling and Chris, Jr. Great-grandmother of Megan, Montanna, Brianne, Kacie, Kyle, Cameron and Macy. Also survived by nieces and nephews.
Relatives, friends, members and former members of Jefferson Parish Government Employment are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. (in Metairie Cemetery) on Friday, August 28, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park.
